Five Quick Questions

If I could only give one piece of advice...

Well, the best thing to get ahead is to get started! So just do it, go for it even with a tiny budget. We are the living proof that it's possible :)

The most essential thing I took with me

The car, of course! And a compass. Except that, our will to discover and motivation. Winter clothes were also very useful, and a spare pair of shoes. Spare parts, spare wheels and tools.

The most useless thing I took with me (non-human)

Books! Never had a lot of time to read :)

Most ingenious self repair of the trip

The rivets of the vacuum-pump were getting lose. Michael fixed them with normal screws, and it held until the end!

Would I recommend it?

Yes, definitely. Defender is a wonderful car, strong and powerful, when talking about offroad. Nothing electronic, which makes it easy to maintain. The best Overland car!
