A sense of humour and our little box of Hamleys magic tricks!
Our highlift jack and a second spare tyre.
Never needed. But we have been told by truckers that a big, well chewed lump of chewing gum will seal a leaking diesel tank perfectly! (That's a Nessie top tip.)
Personally we prefer the taste of wrigleys gum.
Our trip was in a Landrover 110 300 Tdi with a roof tent. We drove from the UK to India via Albania, Turkey, Iran etc then we shipped to Asia and left through China and Russia. A superb trip with many great experiences.
One thing we would advice is to have the facility to sleep inside for dodgy areas or bad weather situations - fortunately this trip had very few bad weather days.
We only sold our Landy because we wanted to spend many years travelling this way and, for us, a landy was not a sensible longterm living vehicle.
