After years of dreaming, months of preparing, weeks of finalising and days of waiting we will finally embark on a year long overland trip through Africa. Mid October 2009 marks our departing date and if all goes well we will not be late.
Waving goodbye to the United Kingdom and stopping via Europe en route to an experience of a lifetime. Some say it will be done in a hurry. But, without concern, we'll make each turn and enjoy the year without the flurry.
From the sands of the Sahara to the snow capped peaks of Kilimanjaro. Forgetting the wet winter weather to warm sunshine summer splendour. Days in a pickle, all worth the sukkel..
Through it all Kirk, Dale and Mvubu will cover tens of thousands of kilometres come rain or shine, attempting to summit the highest peaks in Northern, Western, Eastern and Southern Africa all for the benefit of children with AIDS. And along the road less travelled we'll enjoy each and every experience as a journey of our Life Between Life.
