Andy and Mandy aka Sparks 101

Postby NeilandPat » Mon Jun 24, 2019 7:08 am

Last weekend we had the pleasure of meeting up with Andy and Mandy.

Their truck is being shipped to Canada this week and they follow on a couple of weeks after to start their great adventure.

I would like to wish them well and we will see you guys in Mexico .

Be safe

Neil an Pat

Does anyone know of a place to park up overnight at Southampton. Don't think i will get there until very late so a pub will probably not work.
Going to be there Thursday to get to the docks Friday AM. Was thinking of the Tesco superstore but they are showing 2 hrs "Free" parking!

Any thoughts welcome

:D :D :D

There's a very quiet (and very narrow) lane with a truck-sized verge opposite the gateway at:
50.9474, -1.19297
It's about half an hour from Southampton, I've kipped there a couple of times en route to and from ferry ports. It's nothing special but does the job and is probably worth a go if you can't find anything closer.

Happy days...

Cheers Steve, have found a street in Southampton itself. As long as i am in after 2000 and out by 0800 looks good. I won't be there until late as not leaving Peterborough area until 1500 - 1600Hrs ! so will be quiet by the time i get there.
cheers guys,

A & M

That's it, the truck is at Southampton docks awaiting its lift over the pond.

I got there early and parked at The Forest Inn, Ashton , Southampton, SO40 7DU.
Large enough carpark and the beer was good. Staff very friendly. Only downside is they stop food at 1930hrs at the moment.
Well situated for docks etc.

Hi both, I have not been around for a while so I hope you are both on your way safely?

I will nip over to your blog and have a gander!

Love to you both,

B.
