The last few weeks have been really hectic but ones we will remember for ever.
Firstly we chased the Dakar . This was none stop racing round in the dust and the Dunes.
Then we drove to Lima Peru. Where we left the truck and flew to Quito Ecuador and then to Galapagos which was fantastic . A full blog will follow later.

We are back in Lima and have put the truck in storage there , which involves the customs, the police and lots of paperwork. Its in a workshop and and whilst there it will undergo a full MOT type check to see if 30,000 km of dirt road has taken its toll.
It is also due a full service including all the oils, brake fluid etc.
All the brake shoes need to be manually adjusted back into the perfect starting positions as I can feel a very slight pull to the left.
We fly home in afew days and are bring back about 80 kg of crap that we shouldnt have taken in the first place.
Hope to catch up with as many of you as we can whilst we are back
Neil

Wow guys - how many KMs?!?
Enjoy the break - sorry we won't see you, but the AO Spring Show misses the Easter kids' holidays, so we can't be there.

Hi Dave.
Thats a shame we will miss you.
So far we have done just over 30,000 km.
We are slow averaging at just over 50km per day.
Ideally we would like to do less

Well we are back on the road and heading slowly north through the Cordillera Mountains , Peruvian Andes in Peru. The scenery is stunning but the Altitude takes it's toll. At near 5000m we all struggle but so far Cloud 9 had been perfect.

Re: Cloud9ontour.com
Well it's just our luck that Ecuador has had cheap fuel at 1 USD per Gallon for forty years.
One week before we get there they put the prices up to a normal rate, civil unrest breaks out, streets are blockaded and the borders are closed.
Guess we will have to stuck it out here in northern Peru.
It does give you an opportunity to discover places like this.

Hi Guys.
Its been a while since our last Blog post, but we are now back in South America moving North.
Today we should cross from Peru into Ecuador.
Our journey has been delayed due to the civil unrest that recently took place in Ecuador, This has now subsided so we are heading in.
Enjoy the blog http://www.cloud9ontour.com

Re: Cloud9ontour.com
We are currently at the HUBB meeting in Quito Ecuador.
We are the only truck , the rest are motorcyclists.
I have done a talk and it's a great atmosphere.
