Hi John

I dont have computer leads. The only port on it appears to be one that takes a connection like this.

It should look like this I think. This is just the first one I found on ebay but it uses the headphone/mic ports. I'll have mine on me anyway

This link will start you off tuning in. You can save the frequencies I posted earlier to empty memory slots. If a memory number is in use you have to delete it first.

It took me a while to figure out that when you scroll through to a menu option using the arrows you have to press menu again to select it then up and down arrows or numbers to choose options then menu again to save.

I think sometimes they can be shipped without the full frequency range enabled requiring either a reset all or chirp to use full range. If it won't let you enter the uk frequencies then try that.

Regards
John

That looks like the cable I have which lives in my truck so will be with me as well.

John, do you fancy doing a "master class" for me as well as I cannot get mine to work either....

Chris very kindly gave me his ".img" file, but I have had no luck installing it..

I have now tried "Chirp" on my W10 laptop and get the same error..... cannot recognise the "com" port it is connected into.... it is one of the USB ports....

Any suggestions you clever lot out there? And no, sell them is not a good suggestion....
I have qty 4 Baofeng GT-3TP jobbies with ear pieces and handsets and a built in light/strobe.... very nice pieces of kit....
