Stealth DAF build

Postby StealthDAF » Sun May 05, 2019 5:38 pm

Hi,

Been reading the forum for a while and bought myself a Leyland DAF t244 overland project a few months back. It had a part built £10k custom cab and also a Supacat prototype all aluminium cab with it. Sadly the Supacat would not work on a DAF so sold it and started redesign on the custom cab.

Here's the progress so far with suicide doors and split screen opening windscreen, plus a shed load of fabricating. :D

Well that has to be a first - building your own cab!
Be really interesting to watch this progress, keep an eye on the weight, it can creep up :o

No worries on that front, took my hgv test. Also it's getting skinned in aluminium so should come in lighter than standard. The doors currently weigh only 4kg each.
