Hi guys , enjoying reading all the stuff on here.... I currently have a sub Vivaro self build camper . My wife has given the green light to bigger and be more adventurous as we go to south Goa (India)twice a year on our holidays and have seen a few overlanders parked up on the beach at Agonda mainly from Europe. My wife said would’nt that be a cool adventure which got us thinking.....
So next year we are looking at selling the van and buying a daf t244 ( on a budget looks to be cheaper option) and going from there , my only issue is the logistics of storing and working on it as no where to park it at home....obstacles to be got round.
We have just got tickets for the OA spring show so will be having a good look at stuff.

Keep up the good work

Hi Gary,

The T244 is fantastic value at the moment. We paid just under 4k for a 17k KMs truck. You can tell that they have been well looked after and serviced by experienced people. So far all fixings have shown no signs of being mauled or damaged during servicing. You forget that you are working on a 25 year old truck. The fact that all of the manuals, parts books etc, have been made available as PDFs via members of this forum is a massive bonus.

It's been very easy to work on so far. We are going through the truck and renewing fuel lines, Lift pump, bumpstops, exhaust parts etc at the moment. Everything has been very reasonably priced. It's astonishingly cheap compared to our VW T5.

Hopefully we will see you at the SoA AO show at the end of the month.
