Hello

Postby ralph » Mon Sep 18, 2017 10:22 pm

Hi every one I have been reading the forum for a while and thought it was time I said hello. I am just starting on the build of my overland camper. I brought a 1992 Renault S75 4x4 which had bee rolled a couple of times two years ago and have finally got to the stage where I am ready to start build the camper body. Have decided to build a body with a steel frame and aluminium cladding since I can weld and am not too bad with sheet metal also it should work out much cheaper than a composite body.
Got started last week and have made the subframe and one side panel hoping to complete the other one by the end of the week..weather depending as I am working on the patio / driveway!
Cheers
Ralph

Hi Ralph,

Interesting vehicle - it sounds like it's the chassis cab version you're starting with. Some images would be good...

Hi Ralph, welcome to the friendly group.

Where are you located in our little country? assuming you are in the UK.

Have you see the Adventure Overland show is next weekend? Excellent if you can make it, very clever people will be there, and me......

Lastly, Steve's book, worth every penny!

Enjoy the build, always fun!
