Ireland is most definitely on the list , I worked in County Wexford for a while and loved the place and people but Bev is looking forward to her first real Guinness :D

Thanks for the welcome.
Chris I may well take you up on that. I used to visit Cobh when I was a student to play rugby against Cobh Pirates. My wife wants to see Cork but she is unlikely to camp with me.

Parts for the engine shouldn’t be a problem as it’s a 4l Perkins Phazer but axle/brake parts and trackrod ends are a bit more problematical.

Robin,

This is one of 'John(?) from Nottingham's' vehicles. He transplanted a full RB44 rolling chassis into this and what he doesn't know about these things probably isn't worth knowing. He did speak of some common known RB44 rolling chassis tweaks and fixes but I can't remember the full details. He'd be well worth getting to know if you can find him - I'm pretty sure that Simon C (skipperted) knows the guy personally and may be able to put you in touch.

Strongly recommend you try to make contact asap so he can give you the proper heads up regarding some of the mechanicals. I suspect he'll be a source of invaluable information (and mods/spares) to help you on your way...

Welcome to the forum. The West Coast of Ireland is on my list as a shakedown before I attempt to head off to more distant parts. Plus it looks really excellent. Always assuming I get out of England first, there seems to be an endless amount to see within an hour or two of where I live in Surrey. Plus I need to get some money together to sort the truck. Every time I find myself with a bit of cash, though, I get in the truck and blow it on going off somewhere.
