Build vlog

Not many builds being documented on here at the moment so I was having withdrawal symptoms. So I started watching this American take on the self build thing

I almost gave up as soon as he started gushing about the "incredible" vehicle he was going to build - but I didn't.
Two themes struck me,
He's trying to build, on a budget, something which would be way out of reach to buy.
So-called specialists who are anything but trustworthy.
Sounds familiar to me

It is good to see that it is not just the British companies that are crap, but very sad in the long run....

Wanna talk about people building cabins from the wrong materials, introducing cold bridges everywhere, not having a clue that they do not have a clue????....

.....Go join the FB T244 page...... some are using companies that have no experience and no idea as to what is required, then expect the truck to be under the magical 7.5t mark... using materials that are just wrong!
Truck body building companies, horse box companies.... no idea.....

Does anyone remember there was once published a comparison of all the insulation qualities, or not as the case may be, of different cabin building materials?
It was a very interesting read.... maybe a good few years ago now.... I would like to see that again....

Did anyone else persevere with these weekly updates? He is now getting close to the finish and will end up with a pretty truck, just a shame the engine is playing up and the cabin is cracking apart...
