LPG Filling

Postby Brian-reynolds » Sat Apr 20, 2019 9:01 pm

I visited my local Morrison's yesterday to fill my on-board LPG tank only to find Morrison's have fitted a new pump, which now does not fit to my truck filling point!

I tried a second pump and that is the same!

Has anyone else come across this problem yet?

Most UK are Dutch Bayonet fittings but we carry all the adapters

you can get a kit of adaptors for a few quid, here in the emerald isle they use a screw on one.

Yes indeed, I have the adaptors, but the pumps here are still the bayonet type, just changed the size of the pumps....

I suspect the new nozzle has a thicker outer wall, thus not going in far enough and therefore not over the bayonet fittings.....

Maybe when I next go there I will take an angle grinder to the pump.....

Thanks Neil, to be honest I have no idea.

Why have they changed the design????

If I have to fit a new filler it will not fit in the housing I already have.... which has been there for the past 5+ years....
