Difficult to be stealthy in something that size!
I found the "campervan" description amusing
Isn't that the same one mentioned recently?

Yes it is Ivan, it seems to be getting mentioned everywhere atm!

Parking over a cycle and pedestrian track is never a good thing!

Dreadful.

I am afraid that just about everywhere they go they will find they are parked illegally.

It's simply too big for most legal parking spots.

Do Motorcraft have any overlanding experience or are they simply self appointed truck designers without a clue.

I am coming to the conclusion that some of their practices are doubtful, especially when it comes to registration.

On another forum they are discussing how it is registered as a 2 axle rigid.

Complete folly by inexperienced designers.

Rant over, now relax.

The company owner does not have a clue and is very arrogant!

You are correct with your assumptions.... I am finding that this sort of company is becoming more and more common, certainly in the DAF T244 field....

Needs to go for truck parks rather than the promenade! Oh wait, the view isn't so good.

Unfortunately this kind of disrespect seems ever more prevalent amongst owners of vehicles that look a bit like overlanders and such behaviour will undoubtedly make life more difficult for those AWD-style-truck-based travellers who do their best to show due deference to local communities and the wider environment.

From my own experiences, I’d imagine trying to go anywhere in the vehicle in the pic is just constantly stressful. Its sheer size and lack of poor-road capability simply make it limiting rather than conferring the freedoms that an overlanding truck should.

From a functional perspective, it would (sort of) make sense in the wide open spaces of steppes / deserts etc: providing the surfaces were fairly flat and firm. After that, I just don't get it.

Ivan’s reference to function and form seem to me to be increasingly relevant. The number of lookie-likies is undoubtedly growing and damaging reputations in a car park near you…
