Hi guys had a bit of bad luck and damaged the plastic interior of my door.

I am going to stick a piece of aluminium over it to hide the crack and strengthen the spot. what is the best adhesive to use on this textured plasticy stuff?

I can't see the image Phil but can half-guess what you're trying to do. If you drill a few small holes in the plastic, dampen it, apply Gorilla glue and then stick the aluminium down firmly the Gorilla glue will expand (as it does) and in the process penetrate and key into the holes.

No promises of course but if you have no other suggestions or ideas it's probably worth a punt.

I cant see your image either but at a guess, I would probably look at an epoxy, Araldite maybe. If you can get the strip on the back side would be aesthetically better. Make sure to key the surfaces, small holes (dont need to be all the way throgh) abrasive paper, etc. on both surfaces. Aluminium, a plastic sheet or even a plastic mesh should all work to reinforce. You can always go belt and braces with the first two and add a few of pop rivits.
