She (Heffy) is a 2008 BMW R1200GS Adventure.  At 15 months old she has 32,000 miles on her having done three trips.  First to Krakow, Poland, Second to Seville, Spain and the third the Trans Americas from Prudhoe Bay Alaska to Ushuaia, Tierra Del Fuego

She is equipped with

• BMW Aluminium Panniers and Top Box
• BMW Tank Bag
• BMW / Garmin Navigator III+
• Remus front pipes (No Cat)
• Akropovic Tail Pipe
• Various Touratech Crash Protection bits and side stand big foot
• Razar USB Power adaptor (allows charging of any USB device)
• Autocom with treble inputs

Tyres varied from what was available but were primarily Tourances or TKC80's

 

What made you choose this one?
Couldn't contemplate a chain driven bike for expeditions and so the GS is the bike of choice

Main criteria for this project?
Needs to carry me (6 Foot+ 18 stone) and partner (5 foot and not at lot) plus luggage and still ride and handle like a motorbike not a caravan.

Not many - New Sat Nav - pretty much everything else works as it should
