Great reliable vehicle. Very little rust. Draw system. Just loved it!

 

What made you choose this one?
Reliable, comfort value

Main criteria for this project?
Bearing in mind I'm a mum of 3 kids - I wanted comfort from cape town to UK. Also strong enough to pull heavy 4x4 trailer ... and reliable.

Modifications undertaken?
The first landcruiser overheated. The second one was able to pull the 4x4 trailer all the way through Africa, ME and Europe. We used it as it was - except we had trouble working out the role of the second battery. We changed the 24v starter to 12v to go with the one battery, but once we were back in Europe had to replace the 2nd battery and the 24v starter.

How does it perform?
Excellent performance.

The battery gave us grief - now we know how to handle it, but it took time. We changed the

Hi folks

Noticed a particular type of light blue T-Shirt in one of your photos - I have one of those too! Strugglnig to get enough time off to travel much at the moment due to work committments, but one day...!
