2007 Toyota FJ Cruiser with a M416 trailer to carry more gear if the family comes along.

II have it down to what to bring if its just me & it all fits into the FJ.

I have a roof top tent on the FJ & the trailer since we all dont fit into just one.

I've owned Toyotas most of my life and traveld across the southwest USA, NM,AZ,TX, CO UT, WA, NV, Canada & Mexico.

What made you choose this one?
Started out years ago with a 1984 FJ60 Land Cruiser, built it up drove it a few years trips to Mexico, Moab and around the New Mexico Texas area. Traded up to a 1995 FFZJ80 started all over building it up. It was lifted and kids were starting to drive, I was worried so traded it off for a 4 door Tacoma. I made the mistake of not getting it in 4 wheel drive, I really liked the truck & would still be driving it if it was a 4x4. Another mistake was to stop by the dealer to see my old FZJ80 that was there because the new owner had rolled it and smashed it up pretty good. I saw the 2007 FJ Cruiser & traded the Tacoma that day.

Main criteria for this project?
MPG compared to the FZJ80 I was driving, smaller didn't need to carry kids around any more & it was a Toyota.

Modifications undertaken?
Front & rear bumpers, fuel water carrier on rear bumper, BajaRack rack for the roof top tent,Snorkel, rear storage drawers, 12v fridge mounted in rear, added 4 extra 12v outlets 2 at dash 2 in the rear,Added storage to dash and rear door inside,OME lift, new tires stock size its not built as a rock crawler so no need for huge tires, driving lights in front bumper rear back up light, CB & GSMR radio,XM radio, & GPS I tow a small military M416 trailer also

Modifications yet to do?
Hope I'm finished, maybe a HAM radio

How does it perform?
Does great, has the factory rear locker, & Toyota A-Trac system, gets good mpg on the highway to get where I'm going

What would you do differently?
Its yellow, not my favorite color or first choice
