What made you choose this one?
I had a KZJ70 but needed more space and liked they way that the 70 drove so the KZJ78 was the next step.

Main criteria for this project?
I wanted something with a bit of space in and that I could use for the narrow green lanes of this country, it had to be diesel, auto and be easy to work on.

Modifications undertaken?
2" OME springs with koni adjustable shocks,ARB lockers back and front and lower geared ring and pinions fitted, 33"12.50/15 general AT2s and Cooper SST MT tyres, auto box oil cooler, front mounted hidden warn XP9500 winch with plasma,140amp alternator with dual circuit odyssey batteries, axle and gearbox breathers raised.

Modifications yet to do?
rear bumper with mounted winch and maybe a snorkel

How does it perform?
Drived very well has all the creature compforts, not the most powerful of engines but smooth power and plenty of room for kit.

What would you do differently?
Get a silver one so that won't show the scratches..

Roof tent
written by Roy, August 01, 2011
Hi, I didn't know that Quechua made a roof tent. I wondered whether you constructed your own folding base and attached the pop up tent to it? I thought I would try that when I read your information. A new tent for about £90 and a constructed base wouldn't cost the price of hannibal or eezi-awn. £1000 ?? Best regards. Roy
